The bus stops in question will be retrofitted with orientation aids for visually impaired and blind people. Bicycle racks will also be installed depending on the available space. Expected completion of the entire construction project: September 2023. 75% of the eligible expenditure for the project will be funded by the Regionalverband Großraum Braunschweig.

Construction work is expected to begin on May 22 at bus stops in the Salzgitter-Reppner, -Lebenstedt, -Lichtenberg and -Bad districts that are already barrier-free.
