Salzgitter

The fascination of painting in the city library

The Salzgitter City Library is showing pictures by Gudrun Engel until October 6.

Under the title "Fascination of Painting", the Hanover-based artist is showing a collection of artworks created using various techniques in oil and acrylic.

The exhibited works show motifs ranging from detailed landscapes to abstract forms. The exhibition plays with the interplay of colors and the possibilities of using them artistically with different techniques. In keeping with the title of the exhibition, a fascination for painting should develop when viewing the works.

Gudrun Engel, born in Bad Bodenteich in 1955 and raised in Hanover, is dedicated to social commitment as well as art. She has organized several cultural exchange projects between groups from Africa and schools in and around Hanover. She is also one of the founding members of Afrikanischer Dachverband Nord e.V..

Information:

The exhibition will open on Friday, July 14, at 5 p.m. in the Lebenstedt City Library (Joachim-Campe-Straße 4). The artist will be present.

The works can be seen until October 6 during opening hours (Tuesday to Friday from 9 am to 6 pm; Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm).
