Magic marbles make art

Batik, handicrafts, painting or perhaps making your own soap or being active outdoors? Around 90 children make these decisions with great enthusiasm every morning at the vacation adventure days (FETSZ) organized by the Salzgitter children and youth development department. They spent a week at the children's and youth center

Under the guidance of organizer Dania Sarah Mrozek, the girls make their own soaps.

Eight-year-old Weda paints key rings, while Leyla, Hira, Amalia and Hatice prefer to make their own soap. Under the guidance of organizer Dania Sarah Mrozek, they work with paints and small fragrance bottles. The liquid soap is poured into plastic molds and can later be taken home as a heart or animal figurine. Or it can be given as a gift to the carers, because the vacation adventure days are so much fun! Organizer Ebru Isik and organizer Peter Porzelt, who work with other supervisors at the individual stations, are also delighted with the children's enthusiastic participation.

This is also the case with the painted T-shirts or the special art pictures: seven-year-old Kaatje has placed a white piece of paper in a baking tray. She then painted different sized marbles with watercolors and let them roll back and forth on the white paper. The result is a fantastic work of art. A success for the children, who also enjoy being outside in the city park in good weather to play soccer, romp around or perhaps just lie in the hammock...

Then, on one of the following days, they go to the municipal museum to build boats or visit the fire department. Bread baking is of course also a special feature, and the children look forward to the delicious snack at KJT Graffiti every day to fortify themselves for the next activities....

Information Vacation Adventure Days Salzgitter:

In 2023, the City of Salzgitter's children and youth development department is offering a joint vacation event for several children's and youth clubs for the eleventh time. These Salzgitter Holiday Adventure Days, or FETSZ for short, offer children aged 6 to 12 from all over Salzgitter two vacation weeks (can be booked individually) full of fun and action.

In addition to numerous games, arts and crafts and creative activities, the children were able to let off steam with ball games and sports activities. Young artists painted their own works of art or competed for victory in various tournaments and numerous photos were taken for a collage. The bouncy castle was once again a great place to let off steam. But there were also other great activities on offer: balancing on the ring of Saturn using a green screen, visiting the Lebenstedt fire department, making slime or learning the art of origami.

There were also many other exciting activities on offer.

The first vacation adventure days (FETSZ) took place from July 10 to 14.

The second vacation adventure days (FETSZ) took place from July 17 to 21.

42 girls and 45 boys from different parts of the city took part in the first vacation adventure days. Up to 16 supervisors were on site for the children.

There were also around 90 children on the second vacation adventure days.

Both weeks were fully booked.

Vacation adventure days: lots of great activities!
