Salder Castle: International Museum Day

For this year's International Museum Day motto "Happy museums. Sustainability and well-being", the Salder Castle Municipal Museum is offering many special features for children and adults on Sunday, May 21, from 11 am to 5 pm.

Special exhibition

In the special exhibition "Drauf geschissen 2.0", interested visitors can mix their own healthy gastrointestinal tea from fresh, organically grown herbs in pharmacy quality. There are various recipes and a little information about the herbs. The following herbs are available on site: Aniseed, fennel, cinquefoil, camomile, caraway, lemon balm and yarrow.

The museum team also offers short expert tours of the exhibition every hour on the hour. There is a competition for children as well as a hands-on sheet on the subject of "Animals - Who made that?". The giant outhouse is also available for climbing.

The "Drauf geschissen 2.0" exhibition is barrier-free. The short guided tours through this special exhibition take place every hour on the hour.

Art exhibition "Memory of work"

The art exhibition "Memory of Work" from the Municipal Art Collections can only be seen until May 21. It has been on display at the Salder Castle Municipal Museum since March. Under the title "Wages and Bread", numerous works by various artists can be seen in the Salder Castle Municipal Museum as part of the exhibition series. The older works on display from the Municipal Art Collections mainly document the classic bread and butter, while the more recent works show the development into the future.
