Salzgitter

80 years of the professional fire department of the city of Salzgitter: Open day

The professional fire department of the city of Salzgitter is celebrating its 80th birthday and invites all interested parties to an open day at the main fire station in Lebenstedt on Saturday, August 26, from 11 am to 5 pm.

Visitors of all ages can look forward to numerous demonstrations on fire protection, technical assistance and rescue services.

All specialist departments of the city's professional fire department will provide insights into their day-to-day work.
There will also be answers to questions such as: How can I become a firefighter? What does an ambulance look like from the inside? How does a smoke detector work? What can I do to protect myself?
protection myself? How fast does a fire engine go? and much more.

Between the demonstrations, there will be guided tours of the station.
The fire department's biggest fans - children - are particularly welcome. The staff have come up with lots of surprises especially for these "youngsters".

What should not be forgotten at the fire station? That's right, the food. The "physical well-being" is sufficiently taken care of. The professional fire department is actively supported in the preparation by the comrades of the Lebenstedt volunteer fire department. In addition to coffee and cake, there will be lots of delicious food from the grill and deep fryer.

Parking spaces:

Parking on the grounds of the main fire station is not possible. The parking lot of the company "Diamant" on Peiner Straße is available as an additional parking area. This parking lot will be specially marked.
