The release of the Joel Havea Trio's long-awaited live album "Live at Birdland" is imminent and the band is looking forward to seeing all their fans again on their "Back to Birdland" tour. The album is the recording of the Joel Havea Trio live concert at Hamburg's Birdland jazz club in September 2022.

This concert marked the end of Joel's 15-year stay in Germany and the culmination of eight years of intense musical collaboration and deep friendship between the three musicians.

The Joel Havea Trio with Joel Havea (vocals, guitar), Leo Lazar (drums, vocals) and Arnd Geise (bass, vocals) has made an impressive musical journey over the past decade. "Live at Birdland" not only shows the artistic development of the band, but also the close relationship they have built up with their fans and with each other. The songs on the album reflect the rich musical diversity for which the trio is known - from bluesy melodies to infectious folk rhythms, reggae and more. Always with a lively groove.
