Content: There is only one child in the Norwegian village of Glimmerdal - Tonje.
And this child has only one playmate, the old, grumpy Gunnvald.
Tonje goes on breakneck sledge rides, Gunnvald watches and makes cocoa.
Gunnvald has been with Tonje for as long as she can remember. She loves him so much that her heart sinks. When a strange woman suddenly appears on the farm, Tonje's world turns upside down. She begins to uncover a big secret about Gunnvald. Heidi.
The players pitch their tent and take the audience on a journey to picturesque Glimmerdal. Simple and improvised, just like camping, everything is created from what is there. Sleeping bags turn into mountains, a board becomes Gunnvald's yard and a few cups help to set up the messed up family situation.
This is the basic constellation of a fast-paced adventure story that, in the best Astrid Lindgren style, tells of the rebellious and tireless courage of children who turn their noses up at the "ossification" of adults.
Tonje's story is actually based on a Norwegian children's book by Maria Parr, which was awarded the prestigious Norwegian Brage Prize.
