Salzgitter

Murderous crime spring with crime novelist Carsten Schütte

On Tuesday, February 7, at 6:30 p.m., the Salzgitter City Library invites you to a special reading at the Lebenstedt City Library:

Crime novelist Carsten Schütte will be presenting his cruise thriller "Opferbucht" at the Lebenstedt City Library.

Carsten Schütte was born in Hanover in 1960, has two grown-up daughters and lives with his wife in a suburb of Hanover. He has been Head of Operative Case Analysis (OFA) Lower Saxony since 2016 and knows what he is writing about: 40 years of service mean a wide range of experience in various police authorities. In the 1990s, Schütte discovered his professional passion: investigating homicides and sexual offenses.

The author brings the book "Opferbucht" to the library. The plot: Hannah Rohde, Hanover's most popular radio presenter, becomes the victim of a stalker and suffers increasingly under the stranger's invisible stranglehold. She receives help from her best friends, Lisa Schubert and Kristin Bäumer. They book an Adriatic cruise to take Hannah's mind off things and out of the stalker's focus. But they have all underestimated the fanatical pursuer, who never lets his target out of his sight....

"This reading is a great start to our murderous crime spring and guests can look forward to an atmospheric evening of literary murder and manslaughter!" says Barbara Henning, Deputy Director of Salzgitter City Library.

Tickets, 5 euros in advance and 8 euros at the box office, are available at the municipal libraries in Lebenstedt and Salzgitter-Bad.
