Salzgitter

Culture instead of jokes

The City of Salzgitter's Department of Culture is starting April without a joke: Stefan Jürgens will be followed by three concerts and a theater performance for children in the fourth month of the year.

Stefan Jürgens is a guest in Salzgitter.

In his new solo program "So viele Farben", Stefan Jürgens presents himself as a passionate musician on Saturday, 1 April at 7.30 pm in the Kulturscheune in Lebenstedt. A piano and an armchair are the ingredients for a concert evening that offers a range of as yet unreleased new songs, well-known songs from recent years, as well as unlearned stand-up comedy and stories from life.

Since Stefan Jürgens first achieved cult status in the nineties with the mother of all comedy shows "RTL-Samstag-Nacht", Stefan Jürgens has not really stepped on the brakes. His acting career alone has given him little opportunity to do so. But neither his successes as Berlin Tatort Commissioner Hellmann or as Major Ribarski in Soko Wien/Donau nor his more than 30 films can fully cover his artistic range. Stefan Jürgens will be supported in terms of sound by his long-time companion Ralf Kiwit, who will once again surprise with musical additions.

Vanja Sky performs in Salzgitter.

Vanja Sky can then be seen on Friday, April 14, from 8 p.m. in the Kniestedter Church in Salzgitter-Bad. She is Croatia's answer to Sheryl Crow and Norah Jones. An artistic career could hardly develop more rapidly.

Five years after learning to play the guitar, Vanja recorded her debut album with renowned artists from the international blues scene. The follow-up album "Woman Named Trouble" has now been released. Vanja Sky became the discovery and high-flyer of the scene and has long since ceased to be an insider tip.

Wellbad present their new album.

The five-piece band WellBad returns with a big bang on Saturday, April 22 (8 p.m. Kniestedter Kirche). With their brand new studio album BAD HABITS, the musical globetrotters playfully combine retro-inspired songwriting with unusual sound compositions to create their NEW BLUES sound, which is also celebrated in North America.

With their "rock-noir" sound, WellBad prove once again that they have a great love of musical diversity and know no genre boundaries.

Zed Mitchell can be experienced on April 29.

On Saturday, April 29, from 8 p.m. (Kniestedter Kirche), Zed Mitchell will be performing "Wow". The first-class guitarist Zlatko Manojlovic, alias Zed Mitchell, comes from the former Yugoslavia and impresses his fans with his unique, virtuoso guitar playing. In this country, he was initially appreciated above all by fellow musicians as a studio guitarist.

Zed Mitchell refined record productions by stars such as Eros Ramazotti, Natalie Cole and Udo Lindenberg with his great guitar skills. The Zed Mitchell Band is also extremely successful with its own productions.

Baby Dronte" will then go on a long journey on April 30.

Children aged five and over can then look forward to the last day in April. On Sunday, April 30(3 p.m. in the Kniestedt Church), the Artisanen Theater will tell the story of Captain Liège and his crew in "Baby Dronte ". There is no money left to get the old tugboat back on the water. But then Lüttich and his followers find an egg from which a strange bird hatches: a drone. Haven't they been extinct for over 300 years? They are not, because scientists recently discovered a drone egg on Mauritius.

Unfortunately, it was lost overboard on the journey home. The finder's fee: 50,000 marks! Just enough for the tugboat! But what will happen to the poor bird? Is he to spend the rest of his life in a zoo? That's unacceptable, says Captain Liège. Now that the tugboat is afloat again, it's not far from Hamburg to the South Seas.
