After the horrific events at the Bäumelburg Masked Festival, no sensible Quendel will step outside the door. Only within one's own four walls does protection and comfort still seem to exist; after all, who knows when the terrifying wolves and witches will come crashing down to earth from the clouds again? The author
Caroline Ronnefeldt studied art history in Munich and illustration in Hamburg. Today she lives and works as an illustrator and author in the Hanseatic city. She finds inspiration for her books in the countryside, in her family's enchanted garden. Always at her side: her Siamese cat Willow, with whom she shares her desk.
