Svenja Lassen reads from "Shell Dreams"

Author Svenja Lassen will be reading from her book "Muschelträume" (Shell Dreams) on Friday, June 9, from 6:30 p.m. at the Salzgitter City Library in Salzgitter-Bad.

This novel is the prelude to the new book series "Küstenliebe". The protagonist Nora is overjoyed that she and her boyfriend Markus are finally moving in together. But Markus announces a break in their relationship instead. Without further ado, Nora travels to the Baltic coast to go hiking. But the plan fails due to uncomfortable hiking boots and sore feet. The Dane Bent offers her a lift to Flensburg. On the way, Bent initially turns out to be an unsympathetic curmudgeon, but this soon changes. And then, unexpectedly, Markus returns.

The author lives with her family near the North Sea and says of herself: "I'm happiest with a breeze of sea air in my hair and beach sand under my feet". Books have always been a passion of the author. Writing her own books was added in 2016. Since then, the author has regularly been on the Spiegel bestseller list.

Pre-registration for the reading on June 9 is required and is possible by calling 05341 / 839-2082 or sending an email to stadtbibliothekstadt.salzgitterde. Admission costs 5 euros in advance and 8 euros at the box office. Tickets are available at the municipal libraries in Lebenstedt and Salzgitter-Bad.
