The range of new reads is as varied and interesting as autumn itself - especially after the recent book fair in Frankfurt am Main. There is plenty of good literature again this fall, as numerous different titles invite you to read.
But which book should you choose? That's why the Salzgitter City Library wants to draw attention to special books and awaken a love of reading with its successful "Literary and Culinary" event series. It will take place on Tuesday, November 21, at 6:30 p.m. in the city library in Lebenstedt and on Thursday, November 23, at 6:30 p.m. in the city library in Salzgitter-Bad.
For both events, Michaela Hentsch, Maren Landwehr, Barbara Henning and Sylvia Fiedler have selected exceptional newly published books from the literary abundance and will present them.
With their inspiring reviews, the book-loving women want to bring new books on the market closer to their audience, draw attention to promising books and thus provide sufficient reading material in the beginning dark season. The spectrum of selected books ranges from family novels and love stories to non-fiction, suspense and curiosities.
As always, there will also be a list of the titles discussed and other special works. All the books presented are in the city library's collection and can be borrowed.
Culinary support for the event will be provided by the Salzgitter Library Association, which this time will complement the literary enjoyment with rustic delicacies.
Pre-registration is requested for both events by calling 05341 / 839-2082 or 839-3434 or by e-mail at stadtbibliothekstadt.salzgitterde
There are only a few places left for the event in Lebenstedt. Admission is free, a donation for drinks is welcome.
