In a new 24-page brochure, young and old can embark on a cultural journey of discovery in Salzgitter, either alone or in a team.

The brochure contains a wide range of information on the eight areas of the culture department: the fine arts and the art mice and their playful approach to art are presented in a clear and vivid way. The Kunst- und Kreativschule presents its varied offerings in an informative way and invites visitors to join in.

The music school focuses on 20 vocal and instrumental subjects, taster sessions and trial lessons. The Literaturbüro invites you to writing workshops to try out a playful approach to language and literature.

Clearly structured and colorful, children and young people (and adults, of course) can discover whether the city archive is accessible to everyone, what opportunities are available there or what the Medienzentrum does and offers in terms of further training.

There are also events for children and young people such as the "Salzig Band Contest" as well as tips for birthdays or an exciting day at the Municipal Museum. Because there are many treasures to discover there: Museum rally with Heini, the castle ghost; get to know life-size animal sculptures in the Eiszeitgarten; admire the toys of yesteryear in the "Children's World".

What's special: With this handy 24-page brochure, the specialist cultural service provides information on what children and young people can do actively and passively in the eight areas: crafting, painting, making music, writing or being artistically active.

As part of the city of Salzgitter's Kulturentwicklungsplan, a comprehensive catalog of measures was developed on the basis of a student survey in order to expand the cultural offerings for children and young people as well as the mediation of these offerings.

As one of the first measures to be implemented, the Department of Culture is now presenting a 24-page brochure that introduces the cultural and diverse offerings for children and young people (also in kindergarten or school).
