During the preparatory work, traffic on Nord-Süd-Straße could be maintained in both directions at a reduced speed.

For the asphalt paving work next weekend, 24.02. and 25.02.2023, Nord-Süd-Straße must now be fully closed for one and a half days (Friday afternoon, 2 p.m., until Saturday evening) (subject to change due to weather conditions).

The following detour will be set up for the full closure:

• Coming from the northwest:
  Traffic will be routed via Peiner Straße and Gerichtsweg to the junction of Nord-Süd-Straße/L636.
• Coming from the northeast:
  Traffic will be routed via Heerter Straße onto Diebesstieg to the Nord-Süd-Straße junction.
• Coming from the south:
  Eastbound traffic will be routed via Diebesstieg and Heerter Straße (K20) to Industriestraße Mitte.
  Westbound traffic will be routed via the L636 (Gerichtsweg) to SZ-Salder, Peiner Straße (K10) and Industriestraße Mitte or Konrad-Adenauer-Straße.

Cycle traffic was moved to the western side of the road during the entire construction period. A temporary cycle path was created there for this period. At the northern end of the construction site, cyclists can change sides of the road at the bus stops and at the southern construction site, cyclists can change sides of the road using the traffic lights.

The work is expected to be completed at the beginning of March 2023 (weather-related changes possible).
