B 6 (Salzgitter-Bad): Detour route for bridge demolition takes shape

The construction of a detour route for the period of the demolition of the "B 6 bridge"
in Salzgitter-Bad is entering the next phase.

These and other roadworks can be viewed in the roadworks information system. Please click on the picture.

From Monday, November 27, a new traffic routing will therefore be set up, which will come into force from Tuesday, November 28, around mid-afternoon. From this date, the Alte Salzstraße (district road 32) will be fully closed to traffic from the junction with Ütschenweg to the Bundesstraße 6 slip road. It is recommended to drive around the closure along the U 93.

Asphalting work is planned on district road 32 (Alte Salzstraße) from the junction with Ütschenweg to the Bundesstraße 6 slip road. The section from the junction of Ütschenweg and district road 32 to the horse farm will then be asphalted. The work is expected to take three weeks. Weather-related delays are possible.

Residents will still be able to access the horse farm from district road 33 (Zur Finkenkuhle).

In recent weeks, first the southern and then the northern part of the Ütschenweg have been widened and embankments have been piled up, which will later support a temporary bridge over the railroad tracks. These ramps will remain dormant for a few more weeks to allow the material to settle and compact. Earthworks have also been completed for the crossover, which is being built between the Braunschweiger Straße exit in the direction of Harz and district road 33 (Zur Finkenkuhle). Traffic heading towards Hildesheim will later be routed back onto the
federal highway 6.
