To ensure that Germany can continue to be supplied with electricity nationwide in the future, the electricity grid needs to be adapted and expanded. In this presentation, participants will learn how the need for power lines is determined and how planning procedures are carried out, the importance of environmental and health protection and how citizens can influence this. In particular, they will learn a lot about the laying of underground cables and overhead lines, their impact on nature and about landscape and animal protection measures. The lecture will be followed by a discussion round.
