Salzgitter

Songs and stories from life and fantasy

Under the motto "Einfach nur leben" (Just live), singer-songwriter Walter Schlächter will be performing at the Salzgitter City Library in Salzgitter-Bad on Saturday, January 28, starting at 3 pm.

Under his stage name "WALTER-S", he wants to bring a little joy to a difficult time with songs and lyrics he has composed himself.

Growing up in the still brown haze of the post-war period, Schlächter says, and with the experiences that history offered in the decades that followed, he developed a pronounced aversion to any form of physical and psychological violence. Consequently, he consistently calls for humanity in his songs and stories. His way was to convey love and security and thus prove that the singer-songwriter had not buried his humanity in the market of omnipresent banality and ruthlessness.

In addition to clear words, the 90-minute program is also about memories of old times with their peculiarities, joys and experiences. Some of the listeners may well find themselves in it.

Pre-registration is required at the e-mail address stadtbibliothekstadt.salzgitterde or directly at the library buildings in Lebenstedt and Salzgitter-Bad. Admission costs 5 euros in advance and 8 euros at the afternoon box office. Tickets are available at the municipal library in Lebenstedt and in Salzgitter-Bad.
