These circles offer a supportive and informal environment for relatives to exchange ideas, get advice and share experiences with others affected.

The focus is often on the suffering of those affected, while family caregivers neglect their own health. The discussion group focuses on the challenges and problems faced by relatives and will be led by experienced professionals who will be on hand to offer advice and support to participants. Topics such as dealing with the illness, care options and self-care will be the focus. The regular exchange is intended to strengthen relatives and help them find new ways of dealing with their loved one's dementia.

The discussion group for relatives takes place every first Thursday of the month at 4 p.m. in the Lebenstedt senior citizens' meeting place, Am Strumpfwinkel 24, and every third Thursday at 4 p.m. in the Südstadtzentrum in Salzgitter-Bad, Eichendorfplatz 9.
