Salzgitter

Working on the pirate playground

The SRB (Städtische Regiebetrieb) has announced that three shelters will be set up at various locations on the Pirate Playground in Lebenstedt from Monday, March 25. The entire playground will not be closed. However, some areas will have to be temporarily closed.

The map shows the locations and the shooting lodges.

The construction of so-called shelters at Salzgittersee was approved by the Salzgitter City Council.

The shelters are made of solid robinia wood and therefore match the character of the pirate playground. They serve as protection from the sun and rain and thus improve the recreational opportunities.

Two of the shelters offer additional seating with benches at the sides. A smaller shelter will be built over a new bench.

The transportation and construction, including foundation work, will be carried out using larger construction machinery.

Important: The playground does not have to be completely closed. However, individual sections of the playground will be temporarily closed or will not be playable. Restrictions must be expected. We ask for your understanding.

The work is expected to be completed in the week after Easter.
