The applicant must

• have the legal requirements for the independent practice of the chimney sweep trade,
• be in good health to carry out the duties of a chimney sweep
  and declare this in writing,
• have the legal knowledge required to perform their duties,
• have the knowledge of the German language required for the fulfillment of the
  German language and
• have the personal and professional reliability required for the fulfillment of the
  reliability required for the fulfillment of the task.

Applicants will be selected on the basis of suitability, qualifications and professional performance. The evaluation matrix published by the Lower Saxony Ministry of Economics, Labor and Transport will be used in a modified form to assist in the selection process.
