Many children and adults accepted the invitation and set off on a circular route through the town centers of Lebenstedt and Salzgitter-Bad to find parts of the solution sentence, a quote by Astrid Lindgren, in prominent places. The winners have now been chosen from a total of 127 entries. They can look forward to vouchers from bookshops, toy stores, pharmacies and bakeries as well as non-cash prizes provided by the Salzgitter municipal library and Wohnbau Salzgitter.
"Scavenger hunts are an original idea. Combining the whole thing with an exploratory walk through the city center in the footsteps of Astrid Lindgren was great fun," was the unanimous opinion of the participants during the award ceremony in the Lebenstedt City Library.
"World Book Day is always a welcome occasion for a family-friendly campaign to highlight the city library for young and old with its numerous offers, because the starting and finishing points were the two buildings of the city library in Lebenstedt and Salzgitter-Bad," said Sylvia Fiedler, head of the city library, at the end of the city rally. Petra Stürmer from co-initiator Wohnbau Salzgitter was also pleased with the large number of participants and the many correct solutions.
