The city immediately contacted the police inspectorate. Although the email clearly showed signs of being a fake message, the city's management, in agreement with the school administration, decided to cancel classes today, Tuesday, due to overriding safety concerns. Parents were informed accordingly. It was calm and relaxed outside the school this morning, with only a few parents and children present.
"Although there is an agreed procedure for such incidents, each case must be assessed and decided individually," explained Dr. Härdrich, Head of Schools. "Even though the way the bomb threat was received indicated that it was fake, we decided to cancel classes for safety reasons," Härdrich continued.
Other schools in the city were not affected and were able to hold classes.
