Thousands of spectators eagerly watched the finals on Saturday afternoon in the best summer weather at Salzgittersee. Among the newly crowned German champions: local hero Leroy Ney.

On August 9 and 10, the elite of the German wakeboard competition scene met for this year's German Wakeboard Championships at the water ski facility in Salzgitter. Operator Alexander Grosse Starmann and his team made the weekend a colorful one and ensured that everything ran smoothly.

80 participants presented the spectators with first-class wakeboarding at world-class level in 10 categories. Several thousand enthusiastic visitors gathered at Salzgittersee last Saturday and marveled at the competition of the professionals from the sun deck of the water ski facility and the adjacent lawn.

Every category definitely gave its all. Whether young or old - the weekend was full of adrenaline, excitement and, above all, lots of fun. Of course, as in every competition, it was all about winning and a place on the podium, but the team spirit, the joy for the competitors and the mutual support were huge and clearly noticeable.
