The 17-year-old has been involved in the Calbecht volunteer fire department for eleven years. Nevio Kühnast joined the Calbecht children's fire department at the age of six and switched to the youth fire department at the age of ten. He was then able to realize his wish to become an active firefighter at the end of 2023. "I particularly like the camaraderie and mutual support in the fire department," says Nevio Kühnast. Whether in your own fire brigade or in association with others: Everyone is treated equally and stands up for each other.

The 17-year-old also enjoys helping other people and is happy when something can be achieved together - regardless of whether it's a tree in the street or a blocked gully drain.
