Semmler: "Being financially secure is important for everyone. Women often face greater challenges, but these can also be solved. On average, they earn around a fifth less than men and are more often responsible for unpaid care work. They are also more frequently employed in mini-jobs. As a result, they often have lower pension entitlements and are also less able to provide for themselves within the statutory systems during their working lives." And further: "For women, this means taking action themselves, the earlier the better. It is possible to significantly reduce this gap and shape your own financial security by acting with foresight."
According to Semmler, this lecture in cooperation with the Money and Household Advice Service is aimed at all women who would like to discuss the topic from their own perspective. It explores the question of how, for example, the balance between gainful employment and care work, the necessary protection against life risks and building up one's own pension provision can be achieved. All of this helps women to build up solid, strong and crisis-proof finances.
