Since the end of April, many guests from Salzgitter and beyond have visited the exhibition in the Municipal Museum to discover the painterly visions of the press illustrator and painter.
Inspired by the many different topics for which magazine and book publishers needed image material, but which did not exist, Günter Radtke created hundreds of visions of the future, some completely absurd, some feasible and pursued by today's visionaries.
The variety of topics was vast: the conquest of space and the deep sea, transportation systems for rail, road, water and air, energy generation from nuclear and hydrogen, urban planning for large crowds and food production.
According to Stephanie Borrmann, Head of the Municipal Art Collections, the extensive accompanying program for children and adults was so well received that a further guided tour of the exhibition will be offered at 11.15 a.m. on Sunday, 14 July, for which interested parties can registerstephanie.borrmannstadt.salzgitterde. There will also be an opportunity to talk to the director of the Municipal Art Collections on this last day of the exhibition until 5 pm.
Further information about the exhibition and the exhibition catalog can be found in the city's calendar of events.
