All flute enthusiasts (and those who would like to become one) are invited.
What's new?
With the new lighthouse project, the music school wants to give those who want to learn more about an instrument the opportunity to get to know it better. The lighthouse shines a light on a special instrument: the flute will be the starting point and will be the focus of two workshops.
Who can take part?
All adult flute enthusiasts, interested beginners and advanced players who would like to learn more about the flute and actively participate are invited. The lighthouse is just the thing for those who have always wanted to know: What does a transverse flute look like up close? How does the sound actually get in and out of the flute? Which flutes are there? How many keys does a flute have?
When does the intensive day take place?
The first part "Listen and be amazed - playing styles and sounds of the transverse flute" will take place on Saturday, April 13, in the Fürstensaal at Salder Castle. From 11 a.m. to 12 noon, Grit Dietrich, flutist and lecturer at the music school, will introduce the instrument. In the subsequent concert with the "Flötent Animato" from Hanover, both the small piccolo and the large bass transverse flute will be used. Participants can look forward to a musical flute journey through all eras and styles from Magic Flute to Pink Panther. Registration is not required for this free workshop.
The second part "Dare and join in - workshop on flute maintenance and ensemble music-making" will take place on Saturday, May 4, from 11 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. at the music school in Lebenstedt (Alte Feuerwache; Wehrstraße 27). Participants will work on one or two previously prepared ensemble pieces. In addition, the construction of a transverse flute will be discovered in detail. In the subsequent "cleaning lesson", there will be tips and instructions on how to care for the instrument before presenting what has been worked on with a clean flute.
This free workshop is open to anyone who has played the flute in the past and would like to brush up on their skills, as well as active players with their own instrument and previous knowledge who enjoy a special musical experience.
Registration is required for this part of the workshop to:
