Writers and readers have always enjoyed spending time in cafés and pursuing their literary passion there - in company and alone.

Not least for this reason, the Literarische Gesellschaft Salzgitter and the Literaturbüro der Stadt Salzgitter would like to make the café itself the subject of this year's "Happy Autumn Café" - with texts about the place, the drink, the cake or the pie, possibly the newspaper and the book as companions and subjects of the cultivated and/or sought-after conversations and soundscapes encountered there.
