Maintenance is carried out before commissioning. The first maintenance step involves an annual cleaning and disinfection of all pipes and fittings.
This work will take place in the week from Monday, May 13 to Friday, May 19. The systems will be cleaned by a contracted specialist company. For health and safety reasons, protective equipment must be worn. During this work, access to the entire square must be prevented. The municipal management company (SRB) will set up barriers for this purpose.
After this basic cleaning, an independent test laboratory will determine whether the water quality complies with the Drinking Water Ordinance. Once the results are available (approx. three working days after sampling) and no objections are found, the system can be switched on. This is expected to be the case in the week starting Monday, May 20, according to the timeline shown.
