The "Julius Club 2024": Special summer of reading until August 14

A special summer of reading awaits young people between the ages of eleven and 14 at the Salzgitter City Library until August 14.

Young people between the ages of 11 and 14 can look forward to a great summer of reading.

The "Julius Club" ("Youth reads and writes") started on Friday, June 14, in Salzgitter with the lending of books. All young people of the specified age can register free of charge at the city libraries in Salzgitter-Bad, Lebenstedt and Fredenberg.

Club members can look forward to the latest children's and youth books and, above all, to the free weekly hands-on activities such as programming with Scratch, building your own robot with Lego, survival training with NABU Salzgitter and much more.

Anyone who has read and rated two books during the summer will receive the "Julius Diploma". As always, there are great prizes to be won at the end of the reading summer!

Information:

Registration for the Julius Club is possible directly at the city libraries, by e-mail to lesefoerderungstadt.salzgitterde or by telephone on 05341/ 839-3434. Questions will also be answered.

The "Julius-Club" ("Jugend liest und schreibt") is a project of the VGH-Stiftung and the Büchereizentrale Niedersachsen, which takes place in 50 public libraries in Lower Saxony.

In addition to reading fun, the project also aims to strengthen expressive skills and text comprehension. The club will run until August 14, 2024.
