The old asphalt on the main lane will be milled off and a new road surface laid. The work will begin on 29.07.24 in the section in front of the fire station while traffic is maintained.

The next section extends from the junction with the fire station to the K 23 (Engerode). Work will begin here on 30.07.24 and will be carried out without interruption until completion.
A corresponding full closure begins behind the fire station exit in the northbound direction and ends before the access road from Engerode in the northbound direction. The access road to the fire station remains accessible from the direction of Salzgitter Bad.

Due to the lack of lane widths, the work can only be carried out with a full road closure for health and safety reasons.
A large-scale detour from Salzgitter-Bad to Gebhardshagen will be signposted for road users and will continue via the Bundesstraße 248 in the direction of Braunschweig to the junction with the K 30 in the direction of Watenstedt. The southbound carriageway is not affected by this measure.
