Active in the spring

The Volkshochschule invites you to three active courses starting in March.

Designing, painting or cooking: The Volkshochschule (VHS) in the city of Salzgitter has vacancies for three courses in which participants can get an active start to spring.

Deliciously tasty through spring and summer: participants cook and bake simple, tasty dishes together. The course starts on Friday, March 8, from 5 to 8 pm at the Kniestedter Herrenhaus (Braunschweiger Straße 137a) and continues on Friday, April 12 and Friday, June 21, both from 5 to 8 pm. Please bring along: Boxes for leftovers, tea towel and apron. The course costs 84 euros (food costs are included). The course is aimed at people with and without disabilities.

Painting day: "Experiments - life is colorful" is the title for Saturday, March 9. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Volkshochschule Lebenstedt (Thiestraße 26a), participants can draw creatively and with joy from the full range of possibilities: pouring pictures, painting pictures, filling pictures, painting over pictures, letting pictures flow and emerge. In this workshop, participants will learn various painting techniques in oil, acrylic and with dry colors such as art pouring. For amateurs and experts who rarely get to paint creatively. Recommended: sturdy clothing. The course costs 52 euros. There are additional material costs of approx. 15 euros, which participants settle with the course leader on site.

My first digital photo book on Saturday, March 9. A photo book is a professionally printed book of digital photos, also suitable as project documentation.

The digital photos are processed using free software. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Volkshochschule Lebenstedt, step-by-step instructions will be given on how to create a photo book and order it online. It will also cover ways of editing and enhancing images and show how to arrange pictures and add text.

Participants can use their own laptop!

The finished photo book can be saved on a USB stick or burned to CD/DVD. The course costs 33 euros.
