"Marley's Ghost" is a well-known and popular Bob Marley tribute band: you can hear (and see) them onFriday, March 8, from 7.30 pm in the Kulturscheune in Lebenstedt (Thiestraße 22). The band was formed in 2015 from the internationally active reggae formation "Sebastian Sturm & Exile Airline", who have always seen Bob Marley's music as the greatest inspiration for their own songs. With their infectious, authentic and unrivaled energy, Marley's Ghost now not only conveys the music and the many great songs of Bob Marley, but also his message.

Frontman Sebastian Sturm embodies the "King of Reggae", whose unmistakable voice has often earned him the reputation of being the "German voice of Bob Marley" during his musical career. The charismatic singer with German-Indonesian roots is a passionate frontman who captivates the audience and literally casts a spell over the visitors!

Exprompt will be performing in Salzgitter on March 22.

This is also what "Exprompt" does with virtuoso sound art from Russia on Friday, March 22, from 8 p.m. in the Kniestedter Kirche in Salzgitter-Bad (Braunschweiger Straße 133). With their traditional instruments - domra, balalaika, bayan and contrabass-balalaika - they conjure up a stunningly virtuoso, subtle and inspiring ensemble performance full of solo highlights on stage with an irrepressible passion for playing.

Founded in 1995, the members of the quartet - all graduates of the St Petersburg branch of the Karelian Conservatory - understand each other at the blink of an eye and offer an astonishing range of repertoire in their concerts that goes far beyond the great tradition of Russian folk music. Carried by the ensemble's own enchanting arrangements, neo-classical works by the Russian composer Alfred Schnittke are heard alongside tangos by Astor Piazzolla, swing by Django Reinhardt and pieces by Mozart, Rossini, Paganini and Peter Tchaikovsky.

Children aged 4 and over should make a note of Sunday, March 17. From 3 pm, the play "Alarm im Schwarm - Zaches und Zinnober" can be experienced in the Kniestedter Kirche church in Salzgitter-Bad.

The content: Two old sea dogs, who have been washed in many waters, present fresh sound waves from the concert shell, from small fish who, as a shoal, don't have to kowtow to very big fish and can be quite cheeky and quite lovable at the same time.

Zaches & Zinnober take their audience on an aquatic journey - poetic and playful and incredibly musical. With live music, great songs, lots of adventurous stories, mindful thoughts and the opportunity to make music, sing, think and rave along.

Information: Detailed information about all events and tickets can be found on the city's website.
