The new recruits were welcomed by Eric Neiseke, First City Councillor of the City of Salzgitter. "On behalf of our Lord Mayor Frank Klingebiel, the administration and the city council, I am delighted that you have chosen to join the city administration team. You are our future, and together we can continue to work on making our city a child- and family-friendly city of learning," said the First City Councillor.
For eight of them, the welcome was combined with their appointment as candidate city inspectors on revocation.
The junior staff are completing the following courses of study and training with the city:
- 10 trainee administrative assistants,
- 8 city inspector candidates,
- 3 studying social work,
- 4 emergency paramedics,
- 2 IT specialists,
- 1 gardener,
- 1 building cleaner,
- 1 road maintenance worker
After successfully completing their training/studies, junior staff have the option of being taken on as permanent employees or civil servants.

The application phase for the start of training at the city administration on August 1, 2025 is currently open until August 27, 2024.
There is a wide range of options on offer, from traditional administrative jobs to studying administrative digitization and IT. Applications are only accepted online via the Karriereportal (www.salzgitter.de/karriere/Karriereportal.php).
Anyone who trains with the city administration and successfully completes their training is guaranteed a job by Lord Mayor Frank Klingebiel.
