Salzgitter

Puzzles as a pastime in the city library

If you fancy an entertaining and stimulating experience, you are cordially invited to do a puzzle at the Salzgitter City Library in Lebenstedt during opening hours.

Jigsaw puzzles are a fascinating pastime for young and old alike. Not only is it fun to see how a picture is created piece by piece, but it also stimulates the brain in a positive way.

"In addition to offering books, CDs, films or games to borrow, we would like to invite guests to simply spend a relaxing time with a sociable diversion in our building and have fun at the same time," says Sylvia Fiedler, head of the city library, about this idea in the run-up to Christmas. The aim of this offer is for people to look for matching pieces on their own or spontaneously put the puzzle together with other people and perhaps get into conversation.

The puzzle table is set up on the second floor of the library in Lebenstedt next to the information desk. Anyone who wants to complete the unfinished puzzle can do it for as long as they like. The pieces laid out remain on the table until the puzzle is completed. If the 500-piece puzzle is well received, another 1000-piece game is ready and waiting.

While the stock and selection of media is very varied and extensive, puzzles are not available to borrow from the city library.
