After the parliamentary groups' budget speeches, the committee voted on the amendments proposed by the parliamentary groups. The double budget for the financial years 2025 and 2026, including the previously adopted amendments, was then approved. The budget statutes will now be submitted to the Lower Saxony Ministry of the Interior and Sport for approval.

In the further course of the meeting, the city parliament then approved the draft resolution "New construction of a commercial building in the Créteilpassage; exemption from the established building line". A preliminary building application has been submitted for the construction of a commercial building (Créteilpassage 1, 3, 5 and Chemnitzer Strasse 11) in the Lebenstedt city center. The client would like to construct a commercial building with five full storeys to replace the existing single-storey snack bar.

The Council also adopted the target and structural concept as part of the further development of Salzgittersee.
