"Hee Haw" - finally new songs from Mandowar, which can be heard on Saturday, January 13 (8 pm, Kniestedter Kirche, Salzgitter-Bad). Mandowar remain true to their successful concept in 2024: cover hits with mandolin, bass ukulele and guitar. Small instruments - big songs - big fun. Metal and rock become country, polka, hillbilly, bluegrass or folk. Even pop quotes are allowed. A band that brings a lot of Hessian humor, but always treats originals with great respect.
The powerful show continues on Friday, January 19, at the Kulturscheune in Lebenstedt. Polkaholix will be presenting their program "SpeedPolka - KrautSka - BrassMetal" from 7.30 pm . Polkaholix dive for pearls of rock and pop history to reinterpret them. They offer a captivating combination of covers and their own songs, sometimes sung in German, sometimes in English.
Their own songs are a concoction of wit, irony and a deep knowledge of life. In a mixture of KrautRock, SurfPank and PolkaSka, they enjoy their world music heritage.
With the acoustic duo Richie Arndt and Kellie Rucker on Friday, January 26, from 8 pm (Kniestedt Church), the focus is on the blues. Kellie Rucker has been traveling the blues and roots music world for over 30 years and is a big name on the international blues scene.
Richie Arndt, blues, roots and rock guitarist and singer from East Westphalia, is a fixture on the German blues scene.
