New episode of "Salzgitter Secrets"

The city's Medienzentrum once again went in search of clues. The 31st episode of the popular "Salzgitter Mysteries" series focuses on the Klesmerbrunnen fountain in Salzgitter-Bad.

It is an impressive bronze sculpture reminiscent of the musical traditions of the 19th century.

The film not only reveals the origin and significance of the Klesmerbrunnen in the history of Salzgitter, but also pays tribute to the artistic masterpiece of Ilse Becher, the sculptor behind this work.

Hartmut Schölch, Head of the Cultural Department of the City of Salzgitter, guides viewers through the history of the Klesmer musicians and the origins of the annual festival of Klesmer and world music. His expertise and passion for these topics make the film an informative experience.

The 25th anniversary of the Klesmer and world music festival is coming up and will be celebrated once again on Klesmerplatz in Salzgitter-Bad from May 24 to 26.

As usual, admission is free.

The municipal Medienzentrum is an institution of the city of Salzgitter and is dedicated to documenting and disseminating knowledge about the history and culture of the region, among other things. It regularly produces films and other multimedia content to make the city's cultural heritage accessible to the general public.
