January 2025
VanderLinde will kick things off on January 10 at 8 p.m. in the Kniestedter Kirche in Salzgitter-Bad.
In 2025, the band celebrates its stage anniversary with the "20 Years on the road Tour", which includes numerous stops in Germany and abroad. The ninth studio album "The Way I'm Wired", produced by Erwin Musper (producer of David Bowie, Jeff Beck, Van Halen, Elton John, among others), will be released in advance. Musically inspired by the Black Crowes, Aerosmith and James Taylor, Arjan van der Linde combines all of this with his unique style.
Children aged four and up can then look forward to Sunday, January 26, and the play in the "No Sunday like any other" series "Alles rabenstark! oder Hauen, bis der Milchzahn wackelt?" (3 p.m., Kniestedt church). About the content: There's trouble! The wolf has simply taken up residence in the castle of Sock the Raven and the Badger. That's why they've been fighting, so badly that the wolf has beaten up the raven. The wolf is too strong for the two of them. So they run away in fear. What should the little raven and the badger do now? This interactive play uses music to illustrate how conflicts can be resolved.
Fans of "Abi Wallstein & The BluesCulture" can look forward to the last day of the first month of January (January 31, 8 p.m., Kniestedter Kirche).
Abi Wallenstein is a legend of the Hamburg blues scene and has been thrilling audiences with his music for over 40 years. His unique fingerpicking style, which combines delta blues and rock, impresses with its powerful, percussive playing style. Particularly outstanding is his smoky, husky voice, which is full of heart and soul.
The BluesCulture formation stylistically goes beyond classic blues and is a captivating mixture of archaic blues, boogie, protofunk and emotional ballads.

Just one day later, a band that is popular in Salzgitter will be performing again: "Bosstime" (February 1, 7.30 pm, Kulturscheune). The band is one of the most popular Bruce Springsteen tribute bands. Anyone who has experienced them live will share this opinion. The band was founded in 2003 and has set itself the task of creating a living, musical memorial to Bruce Springsteen, the "hardest working man in rock 'n roll business", and his legendary E-Street Band during his lifetime. The six-piece formation around frontman Thomas Heinen is all about conveying Bruce's "spirit" and enthusiasm for his music and sharing it with other fans at concerts.
Rock singer Thomas Godoj will kick off his "Verstärker Aus!" tour in spring 2025. The tour kick-off in Salzgitter on Friday, February 7 (7.30 pm, Kulturscheune) promises a special concert experience, where Thomas Godoj will present his greatest hits from the past 15 years as well as a few surprises in a personal atmosphere. This is the fifth time Godoj has toured in acoustic form. A piano will take center stage, complemented by guitar and percussion.
Anyone who wants to know where the wild guys live should visit the play of the same name on Sunday, February 16 (3 p.m., Kniestedt Church). In the series "No Sunday like any other", guests young and old can look forward to the story of Max, who sails on a boat to the island of the wild guys, tames them with just one magic trick and thus becomes their king. Quiet and loud sounds tell of courage and anger, of getting into mischief and of the power of imagination.
The second month of the new year ends on a musical note with a concert by Jessy Martens (Saturday, February 22, 8 p.m., Kniestedt Church). She is regarded as one of the outstanding voices on the international blues scene and has already managed to storm the stages of major festivals at home and abroad at the beginning of her career. She will be supported and accompanied by Hamburg blues pianist Jan Fischer. His sensitive yet energetic way of adding his own personal touch to a wide variety of styles makes him a congenial partner. He sets the scene for the singer excellently and shines with his own musical accents.
