VHS offer: Few places left for Sri Lanka trip

There are still a few remaining places available for the study trip organized by the Volkshochschulen (VHS) Salzgitter and Gifhorn.

The "Pearl of the Indian Ocean" will be visited from March 14 to 24, 2025. The program promises packed days with diverse impressions of culture, fauna and flora. The registration deadline is Friday, December 6.

Highlights of the study trip include visits to pineapple, cinnamon and other spice plantations, the rock temple of Sirigiya, a climb to Little Adam's Peak, a ride on a panoramic train through the tea plantations of Nuwara Eliya and a safari in Udalaware National Park with its famous elephants. The trip also includes a visit to a village school, an organic farm, talks about food projects and women's issues.

The price of the trip is 2,299 euros per person (single supplement 399 euros). It includes flights, the round trip in an air-conditioned coach, half board, all excursions and entrance fees.
