From March 4, WEVG Salzgitter will begin construction work to lay new district heating supply lines in Salzgitter-Lebenstedt in the "Old Village".

A total of around 480 meters of heating pipeline will be laid in Gothastrasse, Thiestrasse and Klunkau and connected to the existing pipeline network in the Gothastrasse/Imatraweg area.

The pipes will be laid using the open construction method. As the planned route of the new pipes is mainly in the carriageways and footpaths, there may be traffic disruptions in the affected streets during the construction phase. The civil engineering and pipeline company carrying out the work will inform residents directly.

The construction work is expected to last until the end of June 2024.
