Chansons and cabaret - Chansons and cabaret texts from the German Empire

"Chansons and cabaret" - this traditional joint event of the Salzgitter Literary Society and the City of Salzgitter's Literature Office will take place on Sunday, February 9, at 3 p.m. in the Kniestedter Church in Salzgitter-Bad, this time under the motto "Bad boys, bad girls".

Majimbi Mergner (vocals), accompanied on the piano by Elkmar Winter, Aneka Viering (recitation) and Björn Försterling (recitation) present chansons and cabaret texts from the pens of Rudolf Bernauer, Erich Kästner, Walter Mehring, Christian Morgenstern, Joachim Ringelnatz, Kurt Tucholsky and Frank Wedekind, among others. To name but a few, the stories tell of a pub owner and Edith, of a gallows brother and an aunt murderer, of Count Karl and the lady with the Avec.

Admission (including coffee/tea and cake) costs 13 euros. Tickets can be reserved by contacting the Literaturbüro of the city of Salzgitter at literaturbuerostadt.salzgitterde or by calling 05341 / 839-3752.
