Photo lecture at Salder Castle: One year working holiday in Japan

Travel through Japan for a really long time. To experience the country, people and culture of this high-tech, ancient civilized country on the other side of the world - a dream for many. Patrik Pastuschek has made it come true!

He spent a year in the East Asian island state from 2017 to 2018.

On Saturday, February 22, at 4 p.m., Patrik Pastuschek will present his trip and impressions in a richly illustrated photo lecture in the Fürstensaal at Salder Castle Municipal Museum. He will talk about his experiences - and will also be available to answer questions afterwards.

Even as a child, Patrik (born in 1990) was fascinated by East Asia and dreamed of discovering the country. His modern adventure took him to Tokyo, Kyoto, Fuji, Hiroshima, Osaka and Kamakura, among other places. He financed his stay with local vacation jobs by taking part in a "working holiday" program.

He captured his experiences in countless inspiring photographs. From the big city atmosphere of the centers, to places of ancient culture and history, to the wild nature that he often discovered with his backpack and hiking boots.

Admission is free of charge. For organizational reasons, the Städtisches Museum Schloss Salder asks you to register, preferably by e-mail museumstadt.salzgitterde
