The city council and police are cooperating closely and have agreed to carry out more joint patrols and checks in places where there have been an increasing number of breaches in the areas of order, safety and cleanliness in the past.
This was the basis for last Thursday's inspection. This led to a considerable number of administrative offenses and criminal proceedings.
In total, the city administration and police initiated the following proceedings:
- 23 misdemeanor proceedings (failure to secure or inadequate securing of children, illegal stopping and parking).
- Two criminal proceedings for driving without a license.
- Six environmental offenses (illegal disposal of waste or unregistered cars).
In this context, First City Councillor Eric Neiseke emphasizes: "The KOD and police will continue this sensible and important cooperation and extend it to locations where it is necessary. The visible presence of law enforcement officers on site alone increases our citizens' subjective sense of security. The offenses detected are consistently prosecuted and show that misconduct will not be tolerated."
