She rocked the Kultursommer stage for the last time in 2010 and will be back next year to celebrate rock 'n' roll with her audience after 16 years.
Suzi Quatro, born in Detroit in 1950, is a living legend of the rock business. As a singer, bassist, actress, author and radio presenter, she has made a significant impact on the music world. She began her career at a young age in the family band "The Art Quatro Trio" and played with her sister Patti in the band "The Pleasure Seekers" at the age of 14. With her characteristic mixture of leather, bass and unbridled energy, she became one of the first women not only to play in the rock business, but to have a significant influence on the scene. In 1973, she landed her worldwide number one hit with "Can The Can". This was followed by other classics such as "48 Crash", "Devil Gate Drive" and the US duet "Stumblin' In". In total, she sold over 55 million records.
In addition to her musical career, Quatro was also successful as an actress, known from the cult series "Happy Days" and on London's West End in "Annie Get Your Gun". She has been presenting her own radio shows on BBC Radio 2 since 1999 and has been nominated for a Sony Radio Award. Her versatility is also reflected in theater projects, book publications, the documentary "Suzi Q" (2019) and collaborations with artists such as KT Tunstall.
