Salzgitter welcomes 16 new integration guides

The city of Salzgitter officially welcomed 16 new integration guides.

City Councillor Dr. Dirk Härdrich (7th from left) congratulated the newly qualified integration guides.

In a festive atmosphere, the newly qualified volunteers were presented with their certificates of participation by city councillor Dr. Dirk Härdrich.

The ceremony was preceded by a speech by Dr. Härdrich, in which he emphasized the immense importance of voluntary work. He particularly emphasized the future commitment of the integration guides and their valuable contribution to supporting new arrivals in the city.

In addition to the integration guides, representatives from various schools and the lecturers from the training course also took part in the event. The new guides will primarily be deployed at schools. Their commitment is intended to help pupils and parents with a migration background to arrive and settle into the school and social environment.

The integration guides are also available to all new arrivals in Salzgitter. Their aim is to act as a link between the new citizens and society/authorities/other institutions, to provide orientation and assistance in various areas of life.

With this program, the city of Salzgitter is sending an important signal for social cohesion and support for people who want to find a new home here. The integration guides make a decisive contribution to social integration and strengthening the community.
