The newly designed reception area is now beautiful and functional. The first impression should and wants to leave an impression and welcome visitors. In beech and friendly gray, the counter fits in perfectly with the existing furnishings and yet is the eye-catcher in the entrance area.
"The fresh look makes the Fredenberg City Library more visually appealing and that's great for readers and staff alike," says the regular staff happily. The new piece of furniture also has advantages for the Fredenberg team at the city library. Individually adjustable working heights, larger shelves than before and practical storage space make work even more pleasant for the staff.
"However, in addition to the attractive design, the attractive offer for readers young and old is decisive for the attractiveness of the building," says Anja Lampe from the team. For example, the Fredenberg has recently launched the "WortStark" program. With the help of the popular picture book cinema, fairy tales and stories are read to kindergarten children, stories are told, crafts are made and games are played to promote speech and language.
The Fredenberg City Library recently presented itself as a venue for youngsters with an escape game and a hands-on exhibition on the topic of Bundestagswahl and had enthusiastic guests.
The Fredenberg City Library's repertoire also includes guided tours for school classes, participation in reading competitions and the annual health weeks, afternoon events for and with institutions in the district as well as a diverse selection of media ranging from books, films and audio, games and magazines to items on loan from the "Library of Things".
