Information about the trip:
Participants can expect a varied program. In addition to many architectural sights, they can explore beautiful parks and gardens as well as impressive stately homes and follow in the footsteps of the writer Jane Austen. The town of Swindon in the county of Wiltshire is located on the European Route of Industrial Heritage and showcases the town's rich railroad heritage with the STEAM Museum. Here the group is officially welcomed at Swindon Town Hall. In the west of England in the county of Somerset, around 20 km from Bristol, the city of Bath is known for its Roman baths and as a spa and tourist center and is a worthwhile destination for culture enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. Here too, the tour group is officially welcomed in Bath's historic town hall, the Guildhall. Excursions to the mystical stone circles of Avenbury and Stonehenge, visits to the historic estates and gardens at Castle Combe and Montacute House and street art by the artist Banksy in Bristol round off the trip. The tour group is accompanied by a German-speaking tour guide.

A valid passport is required to enter the UK and, from April 2025, an electronic travel authorization (ETA) will also be required for a fee. It is valid for two years and costs 10 British pounds (approx. 11.80 euros).
