In the middle of the beautiful garden behind the Kniestedter Herrenhaus (Braunschweiger Straße 137a), participants have the opportunity to create sculptures in figurative or free form from limestone over the course of a weekend.

Together with the artist Holger Lassen, the participants will be introduced to the technique of stone sculpting based on their ideas and advised on the selection of stones and tools. Participants will learn how to shape hard stone and experience that it is not so much about strength, but about endurance and composure and how relaxing and restorative it is to engage in artistic work for several hours.

Information: The "Stone Sculpting in the Garden" course takes place on Friday, August 22 (3 to 7 p.m.); Saturday, August 23 (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and Sunday, August 24, also from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and costs 155 euros.

Please bring along: Hand brush, mitten, work gloves, work clothes, closed shoes, safety goggles and your own food. Other tools and materials will be provided. A limestone is included in the course price.
