This course is intended for participants who have no previous experience of programming. In this course you will learn the basics of programming using Python as an example. Python runs on all platforms (Windows, Mac or a Linux computer).
In this course, participants will get to know the elementary components such as variables, control structures, data types and their use.
Contents (among others): Data types; strings; variables; lists; control structures; loops; user control; functions; modules; input/output; the first small example program.

The web seminar "Fundamentals of Programming with Python 1" takes place from Monday, January 27 to Friday, January 31, from 8:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and costs 360 euros (including textbook and plus examination fee if applicable). This web seminar is not educational leave.
The course works with the vhs.cloud. Participants will be provided with the access data at the beginning of the course. To participate in video conferences, participants need a PC or laptop. The device should be equipped with a microphone and a web camera.
Prerequisites: Confident use of the existing operating system. Internet access, headset or loudspeaker and microphone.
After registering for this course, participants will receive instructions on what needs to be installed and prepared on the device. To be able to take part in this course smoothly, it is recommended that you have two monitors or a tablet and a monitor - one monitor for working and one monitor for watching what the trainer explains.
This course is offered by the Volkshochschule of the city of Salzgitter in cooperation with the Volkshochschule Braunschweig, the Bildungszentrum Wolfenbüttel, the Volkshochschule Wolfsburg and the Kreisvolkshochschule Peine.
